    I had read the service wasn't friendly at Side Wok, but I would like to argue the opposite. Family owned, this Chinese restaurant had extremely courteous service and satisfied our take out needs. I noticed there were a few regulars that came in while we were waiting and the server seemed to know them by name. Our food was made to order and took about 15 minutes. The Crab Rangoon were stuffed to the brim and extra crispy! They threw in free spring rolls, which was unexpected but welcomed!  

    It was warm in the restaurant so we took our food to go.

    Overall, if you want some fairly priced take out- you can't go wrong with clever pun name and some Crab Rangoon.

    No complaints here! The food was ready when they said it would be and was very delicious for Chinese takeout.

    It's safe to say the Side Wok Cafe is among the top 5 Chinese restaurants in Indy. I have yet to find the other 4. Great food, fresh and made to order. The portions are huge and if you add a order of soup to your meal it can easily feed 2 people. I used to be a regular here until I moved from Broad Ripple. Now I have to drive around 30 min to come here but I am fine with that. They have lots of carry out but I always prefer to dine in. The place is not pretty but it's relatively clean. I must toadd I am a little OCD about cleanliness but this place doesn't bother me at all.

    I have to go low on this review. Probably one of the worst Chinese I've ever had. Now yes just coming from Southern California does effect as nothing can compare to places here, different level.

    But this is not good, The place seems to be in its final stages of usefulness, it is dark, dirty an worn out.

    So just walkaway!

    I love Chinese food but it always varies depending on which restaurant you go to. Side Wok Cafe has been my favorite of the ones I've had! The food is always hot and ready and you get large portions. My go to order is the combo plate of the sweet and sour chicken and crab Rangoons. The service is always kind. The only downfall is they don't deliver, but driving yourself is no big deal since there's plenty of parking!
